Detox recipe: green smoothie

Detox greens

This green smoothie recipe is one of the many included in our Melbourne Wellness Detox package. It can be adapted to suit your tastes and is a great way to kickstart your health goals. Experiment with using different green leafy vegetables (e.g. silverbeet, parsley, bok choy, kale, endive, watercress), fruits (berries, orange, pear, grapefruit - limit to 1 piece only) and superfoods (spirulina, chlorella, cacao powder, goji berries, hemp seeds). 

Ingredients:

  • 1 handful of spinach

  • 1 handful dandelion greens

  • ½ cucumber

  • 1-2 sticks of celery

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • ½ green apple

  • ½ banana

  • 1 cup of water, coconut water or coconut kefir

  • ¼ avocado or 1 TBS nut butter

  • Optional add ins: soaked chia seeds, fresh ginger, turmeric, or mint

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until well combined. Enjoy!
