“There is NOTHING healthy about doughnuts, NOTHING” If you broke down a doughnut you would be left with nothing but refined sugar and flour, artificial flavors and partially hydrogenated oil. They’re also extremely high in trans fat. Despite the fact that they increase the risk of heart disease, obesity and diabetes, doughnuts are increasingly used as rewards for children these days. And we wonder why, as a society our children are growing up with obesity and other health issues by a young age even before puberty, and are expecting our health care system to OK, lap band surgery for teenagers, Responsibility is the Key!
